Here are a few pictures of building the floats for Bernard's and my Electric Scouts. They were built using the same methods layed out in my R/C Floats page.
Here are a few photos. I have more, and larger photos that I can e-mail to anyone that may need help building this model...just let me know.
Please go to E-Zone and read Bernards article.

Bernard Cawley built and reviewed an Electric Scout for an E-Zone article. After reading the article I knew that I had to have one. I have flown mine for nearly a year now, made 2 repairs, ( poor piloting ), and still fly it weekly as of September 2001. I highly recommend this great 3 chl. airplane that flys 7-10 minutes on a leftover 05 can motor and 7 cell pack.

This is what you get, a very nice lazer cut kit.
Enlarge the hole at F-2 so the battery pack can slide though. You may need to adjust battery placement to get the correct CG.
General picture of Fuselage
Nose doublers and motor tray in place.
Brass strap and blind nuts were all assembled before the motor tray was glued in place
I made the front upper fuselage cover removeable for easy motor work.
All framed up
Homemade battery hatch cover to make sure the pack doesn't fall out!

Great pictures from Bernard Cawley. His Electric scout looks fabulous on floats. I love these pics. They show the beauty that you only get from float flying. Thanks Bernard!
